GEOLOGICAL DEPARTMENT OF MONPOLYMET GROUP
Purpose:
Our mission is to upsurge our contributions to mineral resource field of Mongolia, to carry out all stages of mining activities, from geological research to the production of value added products with professional level. The department is in charge of:
- Conducting necessary research and collecting information for the company’s development strategy,
- Managing projects related to mining and product operations,
- Introducing new techniques, technologies, and innovations for rehabilitation work.
Currently, we are engaged in various projects, such as:
- “Toson” mine plant
- “Moncement” cement plant
- “Senjit Khudag” limestone, fluoride deposits
- “Urd Taragt” gypsum mine
- UB grinding station in Ulaanbaatar city
- Collaboration work of technical and biological rehabilitations for these mentioned mining deposits and plants.
Dredging
In 2000, our company initiated the Dredge 250D plant project, which is an environmentally friendly technology for mining with minimal emissions. The plant was upgraded in 2003 and 2005 to improve efficiency.
Dredging plant is an eco and a comprehensive facility that focuses on its own operations, processing, and environmental rehabilitation. This technology is the most appropriate to utilize resources in water condition and one of the advanced, proven technologies in the world.
the advantages dredge plant:
- Engages in exploitation, processing, and environmental rehabilitation at same time.
- Achieves 80% technical rehabilitation.
- Does not use additional chemical reagents in technical rehabilitation.
- Operates by power 100%.
